10 Daily Self Care Habits That Are Changing My Life
The dust is settling, and so am I, in my new home. My family and I now live 30 minutes from downtown, and I can feel the fresh air from our open surroundings fill my lungs every single day. Days are quieter, life is slower, and my daily walks with Ev are calmer — Just how I envisioned our next chapter.
As we settle into this new space, I’m finally picking up my self care habits again. As any mama might do, I simply stopped caring for my own well-being during the tough transition that was moving towns, fixing up our new home, starting Ev in full-time daycare/school, prepping for the holidays, etc. Everything and everyone else became my priority, and I was ok with that at the time. However, my body and mind really felt the effects, so I knew deep down it was time to take care of myself again. Boy am I excited!
And please don’t get me wrong! By no means do you need to implement this full list daily or even weekly to be healthy… Simply one or two of these habits will positively impact your well-being. If you ever have questions, please reach out!
HERE ARE 10 SIMPLE HABITS THAT ARE CHANGING MY LIFE:
*This all happens in one single day, listed in chronological order!
8oz water (before coffee!) with 2 capsules of Seed Synbiotic (7:30AM — I’ve taken Seed for about 8 months now and absolutely love it)
2tsp marine collagen in black coffee (8AM — I make coffee at home everyday to save money and stay healthy)
Extra face moisturizer and no makeup during the work day
Physical therapy stretches (by Dr. Kayla Borchers) throughout work day
FORM workout (3x per week)
Epsom salt bath (2x per week)
4oz warm water with Calm magnesium powder 1 hour before bed
Take daily women’s multivitamin, blood builder, and calcium/magnesium/zinc vitamins (I do this at night so it doesn’t negatively react with morning coffee)
Prepare for the next day (tidy up the house, prep Ev’s lunch, etc.)
Extra face moisturizer and humidifier on to sleep (bedtime is at 9:30PM)
BONUS: Hydrate all day long (water, tea, coconut water, cold pressed juice, etc)
