A Weekend at Crockett’s Run

CROCKETT’S RUN IS SUCH A SECRET GEM OF HOCKING HILLS, A PLACE WE LOVE TO STAY, NO MATTER THE SEASON.

I’ve visited several times now with all different groups of people in every season, all of which has made the experience unique and memorable. From coworkers for a SISTAIN retreat, to friends before Ev arrived, to family big and small, my stays have been so special.

Crockett’s Run has bunkies (mini cabins) and canvas tents for glamping at Base Camp, as well as numerous A-frame cabins located all around the land. After staying at all three types, I love the canvas tents the most! It’s truly luxury camping with running water nearby and electricity in every tent. Aside from camping and glamping, Crockett’s Run hosts weddings that always turn out so gorgeous. And, throughout all their properties, they focus on sustainability, providing each space with eco-friendly toiletries, coffee & tea routines, and recycling options.

This past weekend, Zach, Everett, and my sister-in-law & her husband, Allie & Quinten, stayed at Appleseed Cabin, a 2 bedroom A-frame cabin right at the front of the property. The space has everything you need, a jungle gym nearby (Ev is starting to love the swing!), plus a hot tub and fire pit to totally relax. We cooked over the grill, hiked at Old Man’s Cave, and sat in the hot tub to unwind. We played games, watched Everett explore, and had such a lovely long weekend in the hills. It felt like such a needed getaway to focus on our family and our well-being. To truly relax!

We can’t wait to come back, over and over, and stay at this beautiful place! The owners, Megan and Ben, are so sweet and accommodating with such a vision for the area. Check out their site here, and let me know if you need any suggestions on where you should stay! xx
